Home Sweet Home
I’ve spent half of my life living abroad and I confess that during all these years I thought, in different moments, that my home was there where I was living and where inevitably I learned a lot from the culture of the country. I remember the day I told one of my best friends that I thought I had been born to live there (I was referring then to Switzerland). Then I thought the same in Germany, and in Italy, and finally in Portugal...
Now, after all these years, I start to feel the "calling back" of my home country and I suddenly realize that in my case, at this very moment of my life, home is finally Brazil again… and still.
I also realize how much I’ve changed in all these years, mentally speaking. I don’t think, feel nor behave like an average Brazilian anymore. Nevertheless, I have not the intention to become one either. I’m sure that my way to happiness is to go back to my origin, my relatives and once there, try to build my own world, which will certainly have a little of every city and every country I will have lived in.
To conclude, I realise that in the past two years, I’ve been living in the nostalgia of my origins, missing my family, my old friends, my old shelter and the simple things that I used to do there and which used to make life so beautiful. I realize of course that everything changes and I don't dream about that. It's now a matter of reinventing, readapting things. The only certainty I have is that this circle is closed. It's time to begin a new one. Tic-tac, tic-tac, time flies…

Hi fellas!
The place where I’m living is my second home and I prefer it to the first one. I have only lived in two different places, the first one I lived since I was born, until the age of 10.
I don’t consider my old place a home to me, because I’m happy where
I live now. That doesn’t mean I was unhappy there, but it’s not the same, perhaps because I was still young and I don’t have many memories. Of course there are some memories that I’ll never forget such as friends and the neighbourhood.
In my opinion, ‘home’ means a place where we feel secure, that functions like a shelter, where we can love and be loved. If we don’t have those feelings in our own house, we would probably call ‘home’ a place in the park or the beach per example…somewhere where we feel at peace.
I consider myself a lucky teenager, because my parents have a solid marriage and gave me the minimums to have a modest, but happy life.
My home, my bedroom to be precise, is all I ever needed to be relaxed and comfortable. Although I like to go to the beach when I have problems, my bedroom is my first shelter, and the first place where I can think about the issues that are disturbing me.
My girlfriends’ house is like a home to me too. I’ve been with her since 2005 and I feel a warm and welcoming atmosphere every time I go there. It’s not the same as my own home, of course, but it could be another place where I can have similar feelings.
Resuming, I think I make myself clear about my opinion and my interpretation of ‘home’.

hiii friends this is my post.vendrell
The word "home" in the dictionary has a generic meaning, and it is just "the house, the flat or apartment that you live in, especially with your family, but this simple word can express more than one idea. Home is not just the physical place where we live.
There are some sayings that try to explain what's a home actually is.
For example one of these says that "home is where the heart is". That means that your home is not exactly where you live but it can be where your friends or the people you love are. It can be someone else's house where you are always welcome and where you feel safe. Nowadays the centre of home is nothing family; the most people share their house with friends or lovers so the home is not the place where your parents live. Especially when a person doesn't live where he was born, as his heart is still there but he or he lives far away. Home is not just a building but it is an environment, which is made up of people, culture, tradition and even language. It can be a country where your heart feels happy.
Also the most famous saying is "home sweet home" used to say how pleasant your home is, even if most of time, is ironically used.
In addition, for a person could exist more than one home. "Home" can be the different places where a person has lived for a long time and where he or she feels relaxed and comfortable.
For me home is the place where we live and work or study, but also where we want to go, because the people that you love are waiting for you.
Home means more than a place in space: it sometimes means a place in time, the past. Home is where someone finds his own roots, origins. Home is a place of safety where people want to go back to.
